David and Nadine Horton were appointed as Senior Pastors of Destiny Centre in 2018, after faithfully serving the ministry for many years and having received extensive training. Destiny Centre has born forth much fruit as a church which has echoed in the lives of many, locally and abroad. Destiny Centre has a reputation of both training up and sending out leaders into their relevant field of ministry, and in so doing, has played a pivotal role in changing nations and attracting a global audience.
David excelled during his three years of studying practical ministry at the internationally recognised Discipleship Training Centre, under the oversight of Ps Harold F Weitsz of FFMI. David has also received a Bachelors of Commerce Degree in Strategic Management (BComm). One of David’s many passions is to expound on the Word of God, preach under an unction with a demonstration of God’s power, as well as to shepherd and train leaders in fulfilling their God-given assignment.
David and Nadine’s focus and priority is nurturing the health of their family and parenting their precious son, Caleb. They are happily married and currently residing in Umhlanga, South Africa.
Who We Are
We believe in “living to care for others”. Our vision is to take the harvest that God has allotted to this generation, and to establish a New Testament pattern of church structure and action. Our Sunday services, conferences and seminars are a great source of inspiration with powerful praise and worship, as well as anointed preaching and ministry in the Spirit.
We want our children to know that they are special and part of God’s Kingdom. Our goal here at KidZone is to teach godly principles from the Word of God to children aged 3 to 12 years, so that they could ultimately become young disciples of Jesus Christ. The KidZone services takes place at the same time as Destiny services. A secure Check-In system is in place with dedicated volunteers to make kidz feel safe and welcome.
A comfortable and private room is available for mothers with infants and toddlers (0-3 years). The room is fitted with audio and visual equipment to ensure that you will not miss out on the service.
The Church is not a building but a community of people that congregate in buildings and homes. One of the functions of the Church is to gather in small groups called Cells. A Cell Group (or Home Cell) is a small group of people that are committed to building up one another, and fulfilling the great commission as described in Matthew 28:18-20 by reaching out to the lost. Destiny’s home cells meet weekly on Monday and Tuesday and are a great way to stay connected.
The Movement Youth
We are an anointed youth movement with authority and influence. We have a desire to reach-out, equip and send young warriors into the world. Young people who will advance the Kingdom of God in their schools, universities, work places and social clubs through various means of evangelism and capitalising in on home cells. We have seen young people’s lives transformed through the Person of Jesus Christ. Lives are getting set free from all sorts of addictions and bondage, raised up and set on fire for Christ!
We are reaching the unreached with our various outreaches and are seeing lives transformed through the love of Christ. Helping Hands is feeding those in need, our Hospital Ministry functions on a weekly basis as our teams go out and pray for the sick, offering encouragement and hope. Our Addington Primary school initiative provides support and contributions such as stationary and resources. Become the hands and feet of our Lord and join one of our outreach ministries today!
